Clinton’s Show Performance:
Clinton was placed 13th at World Cup for 2001. As of May 2001, Clinton is BCM ranked 23rd in the world of jumpers against all breeds.

Clinton has had a successful show career in advanced level show jumping. As a seven-year old he was seven times placed first through third in difficult competitions and of these he won two. He has won the Swedish Derby two years consecutively, Reserve Champion of the Norway Derby. He placed 3rd in the Munich Gold Cup2000.Qualifying for the World Cup after only two seasons in its competition, he is one of the leading Holsteiner competitors. In February2001 he did 4th at CSI-W Bordeaux behind 3rd placed Dobel Cento (Team Gold Sydney 2000). Also in February he was 3rd at CSI-A/CDI-W Neumunster Grand Prix. In March 2001 he was placed 4th in Dortmund Grand Prix.

Carolus I, the father of Clinton was sired by the stallion Capitol I, one of the top sires of jumpers in the world. In 1998/1999 Capitol was ranked third in top sires of show jumpers of all breeds in the world. Capitol has had tremendous influence on international jumping with over eighteen horses, placing in the top fifty jumpers in the world. Capitol's maternal line is one of the best that can be found in Holstein. Capitol's sire Capitano is out of the mare Retina, daughter of Ramzes, the Anglo Arab many breeders considered improvement sire of the century. Retina was the winner of the German show jumping Derby. In Carolus I's pedigree there are three crosses to Ramzes. Carolus I's dam Lacq had many advanced level show jumping wins in competitions. Her son Carolus II is a full brother to Carolus I has won many international Grand Prix, including the "Sire of the World" show jumping competition at Zangersheide in Lanaken Belgium in 1997.
In 1995 and 1996 many of Carolus I's offspring qualified for the German national championships. His son Conto was licensed in the Netherlands and won the Stallion Performance test in Neustadt/Dosse. Carolus's daughter Hirtin, the full sister to Clinton produced Levisto, winner of the Neustadt/Dosse Stallion Performance test in 2000 with a jumping index of " 156 ". Carolus I is a hereditary gene transmitter. The bloodline 4965 also produced Zandor Z(Zeus-Polydor) stationed at Zangerheide in Belgium. The dam's sire Calypso II has rewritten Holsteiner and Hannoverian and Oldenburg breed history. He was trained and shown by Dr. Michael Ruping as a show jumper and has the same strength in transmission of genes as Carolus I has with a very conspicuous above average rideability also seen in his offspring.
